4 Special Holiday Events in Henderson

​As the second largest city in the state of Nevada, Henderson is quickly attracting the interest of more and more tourists. If you are thinking of making Henderson your next holiday destination, check out these special holiday events held in the city:

1. Ethel M Chocolates Holiday Cactus Garden (November 10th, 5pm) Get in the holiday spirit at the opening night in the Ethel M Cactus Garden. The factory’s beautiful cactus garden is decorated with half a million multicolored lights, which would be lit up from mid-November until New Year’s Day. Hot cocoa and chocolates are provided to attendees. There will be live performances and appearances featuring: Human Nature, Sin City Opera and Jabbawockeez, hosted by Mercedes from 94.1.2. Henderson Stroll n’ Roll (November 14th, 11am-3pm) Stay active this winter season at the Henderson Stroll n’ Roll. Locals can enjoy a nice walk, run, skate or bike at the street along Via Firenze between Capriola Park and Adventura Park. There will be live performances and multiple activities for all ages.3. Turkey Day at Emerald Island Grille (November 26th) Emerald Island Grille is not only Henderson locals’ favorite place for lunch and dinner, but also for holiday celebrations! Enjoy a traditional Turkey dinner at Emerald Island Grille. The Turkey Dinner is served with mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, cornbread dressing, candied yams, green beans almondine and cranberry relish. The dinner meal also includes Pumpkin Pie with freshly whipped cream. 4. WinterFest (December 10th-12th) Have a jolly good time at Henderson’s WinterFest. This is an annual event held in Water Street District to celebrate the Christmas season. The event lasts for 3 days and admission is free. There will be live performances and festive activities like the traditional tree lighting ceremony and Henderson Symphony Orchestra – Sounds of the Season.
