What It Takes to Bring The Emerald Island Casino’s Guests Superior Customer Service for 14 Years!

On May 23, 2017, we will celebrate our official 14th Anniversary! But, the real fun begins on May 20, 2017, when we celebrate our anniversary with you, our valued guests!  Please come party with us as we throw one of our renowned guest appreciation parties to fete our great run of 14 years and counting! Emerald Island Casino’s co-owners Mike and Tim Brooks have been asked what it takes to successfully build and run Nevada’s Only All Penny casino. Both brothers readily agree that the Emerald Island’s success is built squarely upon a trinity of superior guest service, a fantastic, friendly staff and loyal quests.

  “From the first day we opened, we have been committed to giving our guests the best possible customer experience. Our hold rates on all of our games are intentionally low, our comps are generous and we are always striving to give our guests the best value for their gaming and dining dollar” says Tim Brooks, “From a logistics point of view, it is all about providing a clean, safe, comfortable place where our guests want to be and to play, building a great team and giving our guests what they want.”  The Emerald Island Casino has been doing just that for 14 years! The transformation of the building that now houses the casino is amazing. Our building started as the Henderson Post Office.
It went through a series of owners.
And emerged as the Emerald Island Casino, the Jewel of Henderson. In 2014, we expanded the Emerald Island Grille to double our seating capacity. In March of 2016 we remodeled the men’s and women’s bathrooms.  Construction is about to begin to create a new Rewards Center, enlarge the gaming floor, add another set of bathrooms, update staff offices and improve the employee dining room. Our warm, friendly employee team has grown with us.   When the Emerald Island Casino first opened, we had a staff of 62!  Today’s team is 140 employees strong! Several employees have been with us from the beginning. Linda T., Sharon O. and Michael L. to name a few.  Many more have been with us over ten years. In addition to our loose slots and generous comps program, our guests enjoy our great food, both in the grille and on the floor, and, of course, our promotions!  Literally, from day one, every day has been promotion day at the Emerald Island Casino!  Yep, that is 5,115 Promotion Days in 14 Years! Over 75,000 guests have received players cards.  We have given away over 170,00 gifts from the gift table and we have awarded Billions and Billions of rewards points!  In our 14 years, guests have spun the weekend Wheel of Cash over 15,000 times. We know our guests love our food and we have served a lot of it!  The Emerald Island Grille has served over 27,700 pounds of Lobster.  We are proud that we have kept the price for our filet Mignon Steak and Lobster three course Real Meal Deal the same since we first introduced it 8 years ago! Games Side Delights have been served to our guests on over 3,000 days.  We have served over 40,000 pounds of our delicious slow smoked baby back ribs and  over 70,000 eggs have been cooked to order in the Emerald Island Grille!  The Emerald Island Casino is also committed to helping community groups with their fundraising efforts and has contributed thousands and thousands of hot dogs, pulled pork and barbecue beef sliders to those causes. Looking back, even we are are astounded by those numbers!  However, the most important number to us is one – representing each and every unique guest that comes to visit the Emerald Island Casino. It is a privilege to hold a gaming license in Nevada and it has been a pleasure hosting each and every one of our guests.  All of us at the Emerald Island Casino sincerely wish to thank you for your patronage and for making the Emerald Island Casino the Locals’ Favorite Since 2003!
