For twenty-one days in August and September, we asked our loyal guests to vote for Emerald Island in the balloting for Best of Henderson awards and Best of Las Vegas awards…and you all came through for us! We could not be more pleased and proud to announce that from  Tuesday, August 22, 2017 (12:05 AM Pacific Time) until Tuesday, September 12, 2017 (11:50 AM Pacific Time) our guests voted the Emerald Island Best of Las Vegas in FIVE categories including DOUBLE GOLD in the Best of Henderson:

New entrance
The Holidays are just around the corner.  Each year at this time, we all take pause to remember what we are thankful for and we at the Emerald Island Casino are no different. Over the course of the last year, the Emerald Island Casino has completed an expansion which added over fifty new video reel games, expanded the Rewards Center and added a set of new guest restrooms. We are pleased to announce that our expansion was nominated for the City of Henderson - Economic Development – Expansion Award.

In the 1970s, when the concept of personal computers was just beginning to take hold, a man by the name of Si Redd developed and pitched an electronic version of draw poker to the executives of the giant gaming company Bally Technology.  Bally decided that they were not all that interested but allowed Mr. Redd to take out a patent on Video Poker.  While Video Poker took a long time to catch on, by 1981 it became popular game on casino floors.  Mr. Redd’s took his company public and changed the name to IGT which is the world-wide leader in Video Poker technology.
