The Fourth of July is one of those great holidays that you can enjoy from morning right on through until the night! Celebrating America’s independence really is a marathon. There are so many great events in the Henderson area this year that you might want to plan a rest break at Henderson’s Best Locals Casino, the Emerald Island Casino, to beat the heat and play some of your favorite penny slot machines.

You can celebrate America in Boulder City at the Damboree Celebration and Parade. The parade starts 9am at Colorado Street to Broadbent Park.
The fun continues with Boulder City’s legendary water fight, games, booths and concession stands.
After a morning of patriot parades and outdoor fun who doesn’t enjoy a great BBQ? Our hot July days are perfect for a backyard BBQ with friends and family! Grilling burgers or smoking ribs (poolside if you are lucky!) and enjoying refreshing salads and watermelon are great ways to rest up before the fireworks start.
If it is just too hot outside to do your own grilling or smoking, we have you covered at the Emerald Island Grille. Want a great burger? Try our juicy All American Burger with all the traditional fixins’! Or if it is BBQ you crave, sink your teeth into a rack of our tender slow smoked BBQ ribs with your choice of a great side including creamy coleslaw, potato salad or macaroni salad. Then your sweet tooth can celebrate with a scoop of rich creamy vanilla ice cream or a slice of apple pie!

The crescendo of holiday events has to be the City of Henderson’s Fourth of July Celebration! Celebrate Independence Day in Henderson at Heritage Park with great live entertainment and a fantastic fireworks
display. Bring your lawn chairs or a lawn blanket and the family and enjoy great food vendors and family friendly activities. The fireworks start at 9 p.m. The event and parking are free, but there are nominal fees for certain activities and vendors. Please the City of Henderson’s official website for rules and regulations.
