The entire team at the Emerald Island and Rainbow Club Casinos extend our heartfelt congratulations to Courtney Garland, our Director of Operations, on being honored in the prestigious Las Weekly’s 40 Under 40 Award! Courtney was selected from hundreds of applicants as a las vegas entrepreneur based upon her professional achievement, community service, and overall influence on the Gaming and Hospitality industry.
What distinguishes Courtney as an emerging business leader in Henderson, Nevada is her business acumen, charitable spirit, and desire to continue educating herself to always be at the top of her game. Like her boss Tim Brooks, GM and co-owner, Courtney always rallies with “keep the needle moving forward!” Words to live by for her and the team.
Courtney has been with the Emerald Island Casino since 2016 and is no stranger to the Gaming and Hospitality industry. Courtney was born for this role, as her parents also dedicated their careers to this industry.
Tim Brooks relies on Courtney to be his right-hand executive. Courtney is a consummate professional with job duties ranging from human resources, analytics, planning, training, and implementing our casino operating systems and the responsibilities involving the day-to-day operations of both the Emerald Island and Rainbow Club Casinos. She also enjoys being the Radio, TV, and Social Media personality for both properties.
Courtney’s favorite part of her role as Director of Operations is meeting new guests. She says part of the charm of both properties is we are like a big family! Getting to know our guests and catering to their needs is our #1 priority. We value their loyalty by offering the best promotions, penny slots, giveaways, great food, and celebrations. We are proud to support our community with our vendor partner program, where our guests can use the points they earn in playing slots to patronize our many local businesses. “It’s a Win-Win,” she says.
Courtney is a valued member of our team and a favorite Co-worker. She loves to see her team succeed and is always there to encourage and promote their success. Courtney enjoys her time volunteering to care for shelter animals and is an avid fan of all things Disney, especially “Baby Yoda!” Courtney loves going to VGK games, attending Broadway musicals at the Smith Center, and is a bit of a foodie.
Courtney is a joy to work with and is truly one of our organization’s greatest assets. We wish her the best in all of her future endeavors and expect more great things from her.
Congratulations Courtney!
