Emerald Island Casino is Proud to Sponsor the First Ever City of Henderson Mayoral Debate

Tim Brooks speaking at podiumTim Brooks is the Chairman of the Board at the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and a Henderson IMPAC participant. Here he is speaking at the last State of the Chamber.

The Emerald Island Casino holds three values very dear – Superior Customer Service, Flawless Execution and Giving Back to the Community Through Community Service.

If you have spent any time at the Emerald Island Casino, in the historic Water Street district of Downtown Henderson, you have experienced our superior customer service.  Our friendly staff goes above and beyond to make guests feel like family. In return, our Emerald Island Family of guests has made the Emerald Island Casino the Locals’ #1 Favorite Since 2003.

In the Emerald Island Grille our talented team prides itself in the flawless execution of great meals for an exceptional value. Our goal is, quite simply, to deliver simple (and not so simple) food, perfectly prepared to order.  From our great Brunch Menu to our savory Steakhouse Saturday menu, we use the best, high quality ingredients to create a great dining experience in a friendly, guest oriented environment.

The Emerald Island Casino ownership and management team truly consider it an honor and a privilege to hold a gaming license in the State of Nevada and believe that with that privilege comes a duty to give back to the community.

“Giving Back” has become, for many, just another public relations buzz word.  At the Emerald Island Casino, we truly believe “Facta Non Verba” – that deeds have more value than words.

That fixity of purpose takes the form of not only the devotion of time and money, but also a commitment of strong leadership and tireless effort to attract new business and enterprise to Henderson and to strive to reach the next level of success for the City through redevelopment and growth.

As visible and accessible as Tim is on the casino floor (often six or seven days a week), his work day doesn’t end when he leaves the Emerald Island Casino.  What you don’t see, and rarely hear about, is the full roster of board meetings, administrative meetings, and planning meetings that Tim attends as part of his many community service roles.  As of this writing, in addition to acting as the General Manager of the Emerald island Casino, Tim also serves the community as the Chairman of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, Member – Board of Directors of the Water Street District Business Association, Member – Board of Directors Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, Nevada State College – Foundation Board Member Chair of the Henderson Cultural Arts & Tourism Commission, Member – Board of Directors Henderson Community Foundation and member of the West Charleston Lions Club.

One of the most rewarding things for co-owners Tim and Michael Brooks about the success of the Emerald Island Casino is the ability follow through and do good deeds in the community.

In the first two months of 2017 alone, the following organizations have all received charitable contributions from the Emerald Island Casino: the UNLV Alumni Association, Nevada State College, Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of America, College of Southern Nevada Athletics Department, Henderson Police Department, the Henderson Senior Facility, and Foothill High School Marching Band.

Part of our commitment to the City of Henderson is to be at the forefront of civic leadership. On March 27th, the Emerald Island Casino, in conjunction with Radio Host Alan Stock of CBS Radio affiliate KXNT 840 AM, is proud and honored to host a debate among seven candidates running for Mayor of the City of Henderson at the Henderson Convention Center.  This first ever City of Henderson Mayoral debate will be broadcasted live on the Alan Stock Show on KXNT Radio from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
